Who We Are
live.sinn.dev is operated by Sinn Development Ltd. This policy covers:
- The dashboard and public pages at live.sinn.dev
- The viewer pages we host for events
- The streams and match videos we process
Information We Collect
- Account information: You sign in with your Google account through our login service. We receive your name and email address, assign you an account identifier, and record which events and regions you can access.
- Access requests: When you request access to an event, we store your name, email address, the event, any note you include, and our decision.
- Connected YouTube channels: Your channel ID, and the access and refresh tokens Google issues to us.
- Connected Twitch channels: Your Twitch user ID, the access and refresh tokens Twitch issues to us, and your Twitch stream key. We do not store your Twitch email address.
- Stream keys: The ingest keys we issue to you, and the YouTube stream keys for broadcasts we create.
- Video: Recordings of the streams you send us, and the match videos cut from them.
- Event data: Schedules, match results, and team numbers from the official FIRST event APIs. This is public information.
- Billing information: Your billing email address, your Stripe customer ID, and the details of each purchase (days, streams, amounts, and payment status). Card details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store them.
- Usage and diagnostic data: Server logs, plus browser performance and error monitoring on the dashboard and viewer pages. This can include the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and your IP address.
How We Use Your Information
- To stream, record, and publish your events
- To control access to events and dashboard features
- To process payments
- To diagnose problems and keep the service reliable
- To respond to your questions and support requests
Google and YouTube Data
Sign-in: Your Google account's name and email address are used to sign you in.
YouTube: When you connect a YouTube channel, we request the YouTube management permission (youtube scope). We use it only to:
- Identify your channel: We read your channel ID and name so the right channel is linked to your event.
- Manage livestreams: We create, start, stop, and delete live broadcasts and their stream keys on your channel. For truck routes, this includes scheduling daily broadcasts in advance.
- Upload videos: We upload match videos to your channel as public videos.
- Manage playlists: We create playlists for your events and add match videos to them.
We do not use this permission to read your existing videos, comments, subscriptions, analytics, or any other channel data. We refresh your tokens automatically so uploads continue after an event ends.
live.sinn.dev's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
By connecting a channel, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions.
Twitch Data
When you connect a Twitch channel, we request permission to read your stream key (channel:read:stream_key) and use it only to restream your event to that channel. You can revoke our access from the Connections page in your Twitch settings.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers below, and only as needed to run the service:
- Cloudflare: Hosting, databases, stream ingest and recording, and video storage
- Google / YouTube and Twitch: Only as you direct, when you connect a channel
- Stripe: Payment processing. We send your billing email address and the purchase details.
- DevCycle: Controls which dashboard features you see. We send your account identifier, name, email address, and whether you are an administrator.
- Dynatrace: Logging, performance, and error monitoring
- The Blue Alliance and FIRST: Links to published match videos, with event and match identifiers
Match videos are cut and uploaded by video processing servers that we operate ourselves. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Data Security
Your data is stored with Cloudflare, which encrypts it at rest. Connections to the dashboard and to our stream ingest are encrypted (HTTPS and RTMPS). Access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service.
Data Retention
- YouTube and Twitch connections: Kept until you ask us to remove them, or until we delete the event or truck route they are attached to. If you revoke our access in your Google or Twitch account, the tokens stop working immediately.
- Full stream recordings: Deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Match videos: We keep an archive copy until you ask us to delete it. Copies uploaded to your YouTube channel are under your control on YouTube.
- Sign-in sessions: Up to 14 days on our login service, and up to 30 days on the dashboard.
- Billing records: Kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Logs and monitoring data: Kept according to the retention settings of Cloudflare and Dynatrace.
- Other account data: Kept while you continue to use the service.
Cookies
The dashboard uses first-party cookies only to sign you in, keep you signed in, and remember which channels you have approved. We do not use advertising cookies. The monitoring and feature-flag tools may store data in your browser. YouTube videos embedded on viewer pages may set YouTube's own cookies.
Children
Accounts are for event organizers and volunteers. They are not intended for children under 13. Streams of FIRST events can show participants who are minors. The event organizer is responsible for obtaining any consent or media release needed for them.
Your Rights and Data Deletion Requests
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To do so, email us at contact@sinndevelopment.com.
Deleting your data with us does not remove videos already published to your YouTube channel. You can remove those in YouTube Studio.
